Contribution to a research study
I’m honored to share that I recently contributed to a research study published in Supportive Care in Cancer. This project explored exercise interventions for Stage 4 cancer patients delivered online via Zoom, making it one of the first of its kind.
As an ACSM/ACS Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer, I had the privilege of helping design, conduct, and observe the exercise portion of this study. What makes this especially meaningful to me is that the program was taught by an exercise professional---not just in a clinical or physical therapy setting — showing the important role that tailored exercise can play in supporting cancer survivors.
I’m deeply grateful to the team of researchers, healthcare professionals, and most importantly, the participants, who made this possible.
This experience has inspired me to continue finding safe, accessible, and effective ways to bring exercise to those who need it most. 💙
